45 years ago today, Pink Floyd's soundtrack album MORE was released. This is Pink Floyd's first full album without founding member Syd Barrett, who was ousted from the group in early 1968 during the recording of their previous album, A Saucerful of Secrets. It is one of the two Pink Floyd albums to feature David Gilmour as the sole lead vocalist, the other being 1987’s A Momentary Lapse of Reason, and it is also the first album to be produced by Pink Floyd without assistance from Norman Smith. It was recorded at Pye Studios, Marble Arch, London and engineered by Brian Humphries.

I found this weird thing at a record shop yesterday…..of course I had to have it….the clerk was like “By the looks of it I don’t think this is exactly an official release” and I was almost like “Do I look basic to you”

John Squire - Elephant Stone.
The Stone Roses guitarist also created the art for their single covers, and I love it.
"Send me home like an elephant stone, to smash my dream of love”

Oh John, you Pollock and Jimmy Page fanboy…
